Doug has spent the past several months in Los Angeles and Montreal writing and directing two back to back movies for NBC. Both are family friendly adventures with tons of computer generated images and fast paced action. "great crews, great casts, great fun!"
Bruce's company, ACT Productions, finished this year's polo event in May and is already preparing for Polo 2010 in Miami and Chicago. To learn more about these and upcoming events check out www.miamipolo.com. In addition to polo, Bruce just finished a Jimmy Buffet concert to celebrate the renaming of Dolphin Stadium. Its new monicker is Landshark Stadium. He is also busy prepping for Art Basel Miami Beach and the 2010 FedEx Orange Bowl Halftime Show.
A sequel to Doug's last movie for Hallmark, The Note, Taking a Chance on Love aired in the Spring of this year and is currently available on DVD. At the moment, Doug is writing "threequel" of The Note series. The working title is The Heart Healer and should be on your television screens in 2010.
Bruce kept busy over the 2008 holiday season and, for the fourth year in a row produced the opening ceremonies and half-time show for the 2009 Fed-Ex Orange Bowl on January 1st in Miami, Florida. As in previous years, Doug came down to direct the show for the television audience. (check out the half-time show video below).
Doug's Wife, artist Clare Kirkconnell, exhibited her work in a Spring show at DFN gllaery in New York. Take a look at some of her paintings by clicking here. Clare is currently preparing for a show with her old friend Stephen Hannock. The exhibit will be opening in the Spring of 2010 at the Harrison Gallery in Williamstown, MA.
